Scholarship Opportunity

 

This scholarship fund was started in 2014 by an anonymous donor to honor the memory of former Metropolis Public Library Trustee Rebecca Loudean Wells. A $500 scholarship will be awarded to one or two students to go toward the cost of books or other educational supplies.

The scholarship is made available to any Massac County resident enrolled in an institution of higher learning who has expressed interest in studying library science or has worked or volunteered at the library at any time before March 31st, 2025

Please submit the application with a letter of interest at the Metropolis Public Library front desk or at library@metropolisil.gov. The deadline for applications is March 31st, 2025. The scholarship will be awarded in April 2025.
